Consultation Services
Assessment and recommendations: Prior to undertaking costly changes, a thorough assessment of what is already in place is necessary. Aligning a guest’s experience with their expectations makes good sense; exceeding the guest’s expectation makes a great property. 

Our assessment reports are organized as working documents to guide the owner/operator systematically through the process of upgrades and changes. Recommendations are accompanied with budgets and expected return on investment.
 
Design Review
Beautiful and interesting design is possible while meeting strict building codes and the challenges of maintenance and operations. dpf Design works with the client and architect to develop the design philosophy of the property, which is a direct outgrowth of the property’s mission statement.

We produce architectural drawings, floor plans and renderings as needed for presentation and approval of design direction.

Construction documents, shop drawings, specifications for all surfaces, fittings, fixtures, decorative lighting, furnishings, accessories and amenities are  

Project Management: Overseeing the execution of a design is paramount to managing quality and costs. dpf Design assigns a highly qualified manager to each project, who works closely with all trades people and department heads. Meetings are held on site as needed during construction phase and monthly accounting is reviewed.

Billing Practices: dpf Design uses a project-based double entry computer program. We produce detailed proposals with request for review and deposits. We invoice balances as product or services are delivered on a monthly basis.

Amenities Review:
Amenities are part of your guests’ experience and they reinforce your brand and mission statement. dpf Design looks at the add-value of current amenities, starting from how a guest is welcomed at the door through checkout. Editing, adding or changing what your property offers is measured against how well it adds value to your brand, not what your competition is doing. Recommendations are accompanied by budgets and expected return on investment.
 
Procurement and Installation: Knowing which manufacturers and vendors will deliver is a key part of quality and cost controls when executing a design. dpf Design gets to know the companies we purchase from and develops business partnerships by visiting the factories, meeting the presidents and their key people and attending trade shows. Our success depends on our vendors’ commitment to deliver high quality goods on time.

Installing, the personal touch: dpf Design never sub-contracts the installation services. We bring our team and we do not leave until the last detail is attended to.

Maintenance and Housekeeping
Good design should solve, not create, problems. The success of improvements and return on your investment is often in the hands of your staff. We enlist the advice of your maintenance and housekeeping staff before we design, so that all of our changes take into account the staff’s input. During training we address each of the issues that the staff have raised. We produce a maintenance manual that is pictorial and easy to follow.
